For variations, walnuts can be replaced by cashew nuts, almonds or mixture of nuts.
*Australian １cup=250ml, 1Tbsp=20ml, 1 tsp=5ml
1: Walnuts … 100g
2: Sugar … 50g
3: Water … 2 Tbsp or 40ml
01 If you are using raw walnuts, roast them in oven at 160℃ for 15 minutes.
02 Place sugar and water in a pot and thicken slightly over low heat. Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste. If you would like to have crystallised sugar coating, keep the sugar amount close to the recipe.
03 Mix in the walnuts. Stir with long chopsticks for cooking. It will become harder to mix, then it quickly gets drier and sugar coating becomes crystallised. Leave it to cool completely and serve.
